Cover Action!
In retrospect, that last cover is a
little too busy, and I think I'll go
with something like this instead.
Fonts are only place-holders at
this point. I need some new fonts,
but all the good ones cost money.
I'm still entertaining the idea of
putting a drawing or painting on
the cover, you know, something
to set the issues apart aside from
the small number... but damn it if
I don't like it all simple like this.
We'll see.

i think this one is very nice :)
Thanks, Jim. I think it's snazy.
Hmm decisions, decisions.... I think both are very sexy. I like the texture work in the first one but I also like the large text in the second one. Maybe just combine the two? Depends on what you really want to go with though. I like'em Sail, keep at it.
I really like this cover, beautiful in it's simplicity. The best part to me is the blue COL just irritating the left side, breaking all monotony. Great design work!
Adam, I might add some texture or something to the second cover... I'm still tweaking it, and figuring out the fonts, so it's a wip.
Ester, thanks! I did the COL in blue to offset the blue on the bottom... I wanted the cover to be black and white with blue, like all the stories, but my name is the biggest part, and I figured that the title of the book, being smaller, should probably grab you're attention somehow.
Hey, saw your work through Ester's blog and really love it. Anyhow, as for great great electronica/ambient type stuff, please do yourself a favor and check out the one.org net label. he links also in my bloglines if you still can't get to it. The music and art are all free and excellent (lots of it too).
Ooops, it's actually one.9.ca
Thanks, Steve! I'll certainly check it out... always on the look out for new electronic/ambient music. Especially since Kranky.net started putting out less of it.
