On an art forum I frequent, someone
asked about the music you listen to
while working on art...

last night I had started working on a
series of images of girls with giant
headphones on, for art walk... and
the music (Air) I was listening to while
working on these was very important
to me... weird. So, here is one of the
preliminary images... though, I don't
know if it's obviously a girl or not...
so, some work is required.

Art walk is in a week... I fucking hate
fucking deadlines. If only I'd done
anything other than paint in my mole-
skin this month... oh well.

What do you listen to while drawing?
(Ester, I'm looking at you!!! ;) )

This one is really cool. It does come off a little androgynous, but I think it works (although it may not be what you intended).

I usually don't listen to music when I'm in creative mode, because I have so much going on in my head already.

And good luck with this weeks Art Walk (maybe some pics from it as well, with your new pimp phone?).

Yeah actually, the camera kinda sucks. It's hard to get a clear shot.

I did just get a new camera, so maybe I'll try to take some pictures... we'll see.

That's weird, Robb, I need either music or tv/movies. I can't have it quiet.

Thanks! I'd have to do it proper in order to print it, but I like the concept.

Art Walk... Every first Thursday of the month, local art galleries and artist studios open their doors for people to come and look at their art. Often offering free drinks, and hors dourves. It's like a crazy party/art showing, without the whole getting into a gallery thing.

I show my stuff in a six floor building of artist studios in the downtown area.

I'm sure they do it in your town too.

naw, in fact, the closest place anyone can go to for a show is "First Friday" in philly, and that's kind of hard to get work into. The towns around me are pretty devoid of an artistic community :(

Thanks Ester! I'm not familiar with Mirwais. But I'm right there with you on the rest. Though, I didn't really care much for Thom Yorke's solo record.

Jim, it's time to move. ;)
