Collectanea

I don't know if I'm going to
have the book done by June.

I think the printer is going
to take a while either way...

I think it'll be worth waiting for.
I hope you end up thinking so.

(Also, wow, this image is huge
and I have no idea why... maybe
if blogger was working right.)

Cool. I like the way you use the multiple panels. It's something I have seen before but somehow it doesn't come off as derivative through the way you execute it. The grid isn't precise or even and I like that about it.

I just assume I steal everything from Ashley Wood, Dave McKean or Bill Sienkiewicz.

I know Bill is big an panels over a single image. But, his grid is usually pretty precise.

It definitely works in your own way. I don't call that stealing.

I wouldn't call it stealing either, but I certainly don't hid my influence. Neither did Ash or Bill, so I don't worry about it too much.

Glad you like it, though. I certainly do. I want to use the idea for the book cover, so I've been playing with it. I did it with that other terminal image that I was thinking about using as the cover.

I love me some panels on this. I also like that you went with a simple stark black/white color scheme.

Well, the drawing was rather boring... so I decided to add the panels and I played with some color on it, but it just didn't need it.

they work ok for me.

Art walk didn't kill me, I didn't show anything, I just went and had a stress free time. It was fun not showing anything. It's my recent inability to draw that's killing me... :(

but you know that it happens to everyone. Every one.

It'll pass, it really will, and probably sooner than you think. In the meantime, just know that things will come back and right now you just need a small break. Go do laundry and stuff not related. Trust me, it will be back soon

Ester, yeah, I know that but you know that knowing that doesn't make it any less aggravating when it happens to you. I appreciate it though.

Jim, I'll sign and doodle on all of 'em, well, for the people I know anyway... so yeah, all of them. ;)

I figured I could make them special for you guys... or just ruin them, you know, same difference.

Talk to me about originals later.

In the mean time, you can buy prints of any of the art walk stuff... or commison me to do an original something...
