Just a colossal failure in almost every
regard, but I still kind of like it for
some reason. I guess it's the first
and last panels... What those panels
alone say about it is enough for me.

Thanks! No, I don't use live models very often. Usually photographs if anything.
Ok. It's not that I like this particular piece...
I love it.
The contrast between the black red and white is really cool (excellent print on the dress). I also really like the eye in the last panel, almost like she has something to say. And the absence of borders in the first and ninth panels.
That and the fact that she's all takin' her clothes off. :)
But what do I know? I dig it.
Well... to be fair, I like it too. I just don't think I did it very well, you know? I certainly could have done it better. Maybe if I did it larger and/or spent any real time on it.
I like that it tells a story... or starts to anyway. From the shyness of the first panel, to the slow removal of the dress, to the uncertainty (maybe coy even?) of the last panel as she looks at whoever is in front of her. Also in that, why is she taking her clothes off and for who? Maybe her lover? Maybe she's an assassin and some guy is about to die... I dunno. It's so open ended and I love that about it. I just think I drew it for shit and it's a shame because I like it in concept.
Maybe I'll redo it better. Glad you like it, though.

It would be nice to see this sequence all cleaned up though. The expressions work really well.

Thanks! Started penciling a better version of it last night. I think I might add a splash/title page in front of it and thinking about after it too.
