Squares and Rectangles
This is a semi square
part of a square page...
I got a new scanner!
I can import right
into photoshop...
and it's awesome!
I don't know what to
do about the book.
It's a lot of money for
me to get even 50 copies.
Money I currently don't
have. (really to even get 20)
I might have to go the
normal comic format and
less pages to start.
A 'taster' or some shit.
Also, blogger is giving me
problems and I can't reply
on BETA blogger blogs...
apparently.

great news about the new scanner! I'm actually in need of one myself, and have been thinking of jumping up in size for larger work...don't know if that's really necessary though.
I totally hear you about the book frustrations, and I wish I could help with advice or something. It seems like that's the beauty of life challenges - they are so hard at first, that once you've accomplished what you want, you can feel that much more proud about what you've done. Maybe the best thing you could do is sell a first few, take that money (totally out of pocket investment) and dump into another print, and keep on with it - like climbing a mountain one step at a time. I really like your book idea. Consider too, maybe sending it to a publisher (?? - you never know)
-you know, I don't think I can comment on your non BETA blog either... - ESTER
I'm going to try out my BETA commenting abilities on your non beta account.
Well, that worked. :)
Excellent pic. And congrats on the new scanner.
I don't think a comic format would be all that bad. Look at it like less of a compromise, and more of a challenge.
I agree also with Ester. I think you definitely have the chops to possibly shop it to a publisher. And you never know, they may also think the same thing. :)
Thanks, guys.
I've thought about both, starting with a very small print run, and going from there, or changing format at first. Never seriously entertained the idea of geting it published by a real publisher... thanks for the faith.
I might try switching over to beta blogger... I dunno.
can I just switch my blog to a beta account without starting over?
I think you may have to start up another account. I had a blog under the old one, and couldn't figure out how to switch it for the life of me.
I just checked and apparently the os (old school) blogger was supposed to be fixed by 5 p.m. Now whether that's eastern or pacific, I don't know.
I think if you wait a few days, Blogger will offer you the option to seemlessly switch your blog. It happened to a friend of mine, and then mine a day later. They are making the switch available for everyone, a few accounts at a time, so you'll be able to soon.
